I finally bought Laird some rice cereal. It's always fun watching my babies grow into the next stage, but there's something kind of sad about the fact that Laird is no longer "exclusively breastfeeding" (The world's most perfect food! The way is soothes them! The bonding! I just love it all!)
And although he's still being breastfed, now I have to share him with a can of rice cereal! :)
And since Josh is terribly jealous of breastfeeding (It's Ok, he admits it!), I let him do the honor of feeding Laird solids for the first time.
Typical....he thought the spoon was there to bite! I'm not sure he understood there was food on the spoon!
And then he decided he had enough! I don't blame him. Ever wonder it must be like to actually taste food for the first time? It's remarkable, really...to think of all that babies have to get used to as they explore their new world.
