Growing

There seems to be lots of growth and growing up happening around these parts.

Summer is here and the tomato plants are growing tall.

And my hydrangeas are blooming...

But, what's really crazy....is that Laird's 7 months on Tuesday and I really, really can't believe it. I know parents always say that, but seriously, it's going so much faster this time around.

My boys are really growing!  And they're growing fast!

Laird's now eating rice cereal, pears, avocado, and peas.  And when we're feeling really gourmet, we add breastmilk and call it "creamy pears" or "creamy avocado & peas"...something fancy like that.

Finlay's been into helping...

Speaking of Finlay... my big boy now helps out with the "younger kids", George included.  He even promotes good nutrition...
Oatmeal & fruit...only the best for our monkeys.

It's been fun to watch Finlay grow up and become interested in playing "real life".  He loves to feed George, play with his kitchen set ("cook soup, mama"), sweep the floors, and wear our shoes around the house.  He wants to do whatever Josh & I are doing. The other morning he went into my closet and found a pair of my shoes...

And when he's done pretending he's an adult & the shoes come off... and he refuses to eat anything but Greek yogurt, Annie's crackers, and "staw-brees"...and I find him sitting on Laird... and screaming & hitting himself because I told him he had to try a new food & that it's not nice to sit on our brother....

...well, then I'm reminded that although he IS growing up, he's still my little boy...
