We spend a lot of time in the kitchen.
Party because about half of the words Finlay speaks in a day are "Mama...HUNEE (hungry)!!!!!" "Mama, cacka (crackers)!" "Mama, p-apples!!! (pineapple)" "Mama....unk (drink)!!!" "Mama...wawee!!!! (water)
And of course, they are all accompanied by him standing at the pantry or the refrigerator and me telling him, ONCE AGAIN, that we have to wait until lunch, dinner, etc...
This weekend, however, we had some company. Laird sat next to me while we made Chewy Peanut Butter Cookies.
They're so good.
And Laird knows it.
This face totally says, "Are they done yet? Are they done yet?"
He's even bracing himself, trying to be patient... :)
And lets not act like the kitchen is my domain. Here's Chef Extraordinaire cutting up some fruit.
Finlay decided to take a break from food preparation. He had to take a call.
Clearly he hasn't signed Oprah's "No Phone Zone" pledge :)
And later in the week, on a really cold, rainy, May day, I decided it would be fun to break out the Ice Cream Maker and try my hand at some Chocolate Frozen Yogurt.
I've been all about my FroYo lately... :)
Finlay, making sure everyone can see what's in there!
I think he literally sat there for the entire 20 minutes watching that thing go around...and around... and around....
Worth the wait, wasn't it, Finlay? :)
